Remembrance at Cronton Cenotaph 10th November 2019
 
At a well attended Remembrance Day service at the cared for and maintained and very  old cenotaph in the tiny village of Cronton, just on the outskirts of Widnes. The Mark Masons in or local to this village gathered with other villages for the service.
This is the fourth year Mark Masons and their families have been represented. The wreath this year was laid by W/Bro Brian Boothroyd a member of both Wilbraham  (523)& Clarence (447) Mark Lodges being the current Master of the latter.
He was supported by W/Bro John Gibbon (Vice Chairman, of Widnes Group) W/Bro Frank Thomas and his wife Margaret, Bro John Baldwin, W/Bro David Jones (George Harradon 956)
Many local Establishments, emergency services, societies, and schools were represented. At the nearing of 11am all traffic in the vicinity of the cross roads at Cronton was halted by Police for the observance of the 3 minutes silence

The weather was kind to us, a bright fresh morning.
